ADVENTURE INFO
Into The Mountains - Waterfall, Hiking & Coffee Adventure
"Off The Beaten Path Hiking Adventure in Puerto Rico"
- Private Reserve -

Do you want to know the REAL Puerto Rico? Well, come join us on the Big Waterfall Hiking Adventure - Discover a Beautiful Private Reserve in Puerto Rico

On this Into The Mountains - Waterfall, Hiking & Coffee Adventure, we will venture into the Door of the Mountain Range of Puerto Rico, enjoying a beautiful panoramic view through the countryside before reaching our exclusive nature reserve (Yes!, we are the only ones at the location). Also, before a good hike, we will make a quick stop and our guide will lead the way tracing the “footsteps” of the great Don Pello Coffee: A four-generation coffee-producing Puerto Rican family. It will be also a "baño", artisan "café" and a quick snack stop.

This breathtaking off the beaten path hike, suitable for both beginners and seasoned hikers alike (Hiking Level Real Off The Beaten Path - Moderate to Challenging with some steep hiking and river trekking sections - Suitable for all Physically Fit People) will lead us through a well-established path. Emotions come alive as we immerse ourselves into the subtropical forest and venture our way to meet an old centenary native tree at the top of the mountain, more than 300 years old. After that, we will continue our journey, visiting beautiful and unique waterfalls, one of which is 150 feet tall. Before reaching the trail's end, we will stop in a natural pond surrounded by a lush landscape where we will serve Freshly Cut Tropical Fruits. You will get to sit down and unwind in a Private Nature Reserve.

(This hike is tucked away close to the Highest Rainforest Reserve in Puerto Rico, Toro Negro Reserve, Bosque Estatal Tres Pichachos, and the Highest Peak in Puerto Rico Cerro Punta in Jayuya.)

After a great day, you get to enjoy a savory Puerto Rican meal in the countryside (with an amazing panoramic view of the central mountain range of Puerto Rico) and you will want to come back all over again...

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

BECKIE B, DON'T MISS THIS INCREDIBLE ADVENTURE

André is a local who knows the area he brings you to like the back of his hand and conveys his passion for the PR culture, connecting with others, and nature. The tour is definitely a full day of adventure: the pacing is perfect (and personalized) to start slow and easy learning about local coffee production (definitely order an espresso!), then work up to the crazy hike (bring quick-dry clothes and grippy shoes) with whatever stops your group wants, and wind down to a local lunch with an incredible view. Andre will point out really cool flora & fauna and you can dive in at your level during this advanced hike. I'm not an outdoorsy gal, and he balanced challenging each member of the group in different ways with relaxing fun and laughter. We were lucky to go alone as a group of four friends; and André made us immediately feel like part of his family: well taken care of, well fed, and safe.
